DAY 1 – PORTO

Arrival at Porto International Airport. Our staff will be delighted to welcome your guests. Arrival at Oporto, and transfer to the hotel. At the hotel, our guide will assist during check-in procedures. Short Briefing tour. Find more about the tradition of Port wine, olive oil and portuguese gastronomy in this 3,5h guided visit into the heart of the city! Get to know the base of Porto’s gastronomy in a guided tour to the famous Bolhão Market and the fine groceries around. The highlight of your tour will be when you try the best portuguese olive oils! Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Porto.

DAY 2 – PORTO | AMARANTE | LAMEGO | PESO DA RÉGUA

Breakfast at the hotel. Handsomely set on a bend in the Rio Tâmega, the sleepy village of Amarante is dominated by a striking church and monastery, which sit theatrically beside a rebuilt medieval bridge that still bears city traffic. The town enjoys some small degree of fame for being the hometown of São Gonçalo. Portugal’s St Valentine, he is the target for lonely hearts who make pilgrimages here in the hope of finding true love. Do not miss to taste the conventual pastry, that is to die for!.Next we will head to Lamego, one of the most important urban centres of the Douro region. But it is the vine that dominates the landscape and it was from the wine that the populations withdrew their main sustenance for centuries. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies and the staircase, built in the 18th century on the summit of Monte de Santo Estevão, in honor of Senhora dos Remédios, are the ex-libris of Lamego. Time for a light meal in a trendy place, to taste our famous Portuguese “Tapas”. Continue to Peso da Régua, where you will have the opportunity to experience to sleep in a luxury wine barrel in a local wine estate producer. For the wine lovers an experience not to be missed. DAY 3 – LAMEGO | PENALVA DO CASTELO | ELVAS

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out at the hotel. Today we will visit a Baroque style building built in the 18th century that is filled with memories of Portuguese history and culture of the last three centuries. This magificient house was awarded and distinguished in the last three years by the excellent harvests that it has produced. Under the guidance of winemaker José Matias, you will have the opportunity to taste their wines in the heart of the Dão Demarcated Region. For wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts this is a mandatory destination, so enjoy a wine tasting in the wine cellar. Come experience the pleasures of wine followed by lunch. After lunch we will head to Elvas is truly one of Portugal’s hidden gems, an historic and wonderfully preserved town situated on the arid plains of the Portuguese-Spanish border. Elvas is located in the far east of the country, and few tourists rarely consider visiting, but those who make the journey will be rewarded with a fascinating town rich in history and beauty. Do not miss the 17th century fortresses classified by UNESCO as World Heritage site for its uniqueness in the world. You will stay in a unique place as the building is still the one where the first Inn was opened in Portugal in 1942. Opened in 1942, the Santa Luzia Pousada was the first of the luxury chain of Pousadas of Portugal. As the city of Elvas is located near the border between Portugal & Spain, the Pousada was the stage of some of the few secret meetings between Salazar and Franco. So let your imagine flow and be part of this mystical and historical place. Dinner included at the Pousada with a show Cooking of the traditional Golden Codfish dish, famous for it´s history. DAY 4 – ELVAS | ARRAIOLOS | ÉVORA

Breakfast at the hotel. Chcek out of the hotel and head to Arraiolos a small town, one of the best kept secrets of Portugal, with a true feel of rural Portugal.  Admire the Arraiolos tapestry rugs, a Portuguese arts and crafts that are amazing and they are all embroidered by hand. After this charming visit we will head to a local wine estate producer to learn about the wines of the Alentejo region followed by a delicious and hand made lunch. The winery has also one of the biggest private carriage collections, that is just outstanding. Arrival in Évora and check in at the Hotel. Dinner included at the hotel (Drinks not included). Overnight at the hotel in Évora.

DAY 5 – ÉVORA

Breakfast at the hotel. In 1986, the city's historic center of évora was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, stood out for its various historical monuments in contrast to the white houses that were inspired by the Islamic Art of Alandalus. Visit the cathedral with interesting Gothic details, The Roman Temple of Evora, known as the Roman Temple of Diana, and the strange, most impressive, century-old Bones Chapel located in St. Francis Church. It was built in the 17th century on the initiative of three Franciscan monks who, in the spirit of the time (Religious Counter-Reformation according to the norms of the Council of Trent), intended to convey the message of the transience of life, as can be deduced from the famous warning at the entrance : "We bones here are waiting for you." In the morning 3 hours walking tour through this historic city (entrances included.) After the tour self-explore your best spots and do not miss to taste a delicious coffee on the main square of Giraldo, good opportunity to mingle with the locals. Free afternoon. Dinner included at the hotel (drinks not included). Overnight at the hotel in Évora

DAY 6 – ÉVORA | ESTREMOZ | LISBON

Breakfast at the hotel.  Check out at the hotel around 11:00am and head to another wine estate producer where you will have a fun and authentic cooking class paired with their excelente  wines in Estremoz. This will be a hands-on experience where you will learn about Portuguese cuisine, its influences and traditions, followed by an authentic lunch, where you will savor the result of your hard work! Excellent opportunity to get to learn the Alentejo gastronomy. On our way to Lisbon. Free afternoon. To get to the heart of the city, listen to its achingly beautiful music. Today you will feel the Portuguese soul while enjoying a good Portuguese Meal in a typical restaurant out of the main touristic path. Overnight at the hotel in Lisbon

DAY  7 – LISBON | BELÉM | LISBON

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will visit Lisbon and the Discoveries Area, Belém. The coolest city of the moment and considered the best city break in the world according to World´s Travel Awards. Indulge yourself across the glamorous Avenida da Liberdade, starting the route in the majestic Marquês de Pombal Square to Rossio, historic center. Restaurants, shops and bars here and there. Just a stone's throw from the Moorish quarter, stroll through the narrow, winding alleyways with stunning views. Contemplate the Tagus of the Terreiro do Paço, place from where the caravels left in search of new seas. Along the river enjoy the great monuments as Tower of Belém and Jerónimos Monastery the UNESCO World Heritage, two magnificent examples of the Gothic Manueline and the Monument of the Discoveries landmark erected in 1960. Farewell dinner at the Beer Museum. Overnight at the hotel in Lisbon.

DAY 8 – LISBON

Breakfast at the hotel.

Check out at the hotel. Departure from Lisbon airport. Haver a nice flight back home.
